Volvo / Mack Reset Tool | DTC Clear | Derate Disable | Reset Soot Level | DPF Regeneration

This standalone DPF reset tool is designed for Volvo and Mack trucks equipped with Aftertreatment systems (2014 and newer (with OBD2 connection)). It allows drivers and fleet operators to perform essential emission system resets and maintenance without the need for a diagnostic computer or internet connection.

How to Use This Tool

To Clear DTCs / Disable Derate / Reset Soot Level:

1. Turn the ignition key to the ON position (engine off).
2. Plug the tool into the truck’s HD OBD diagnostic connector.
3. LED indicator will light Green and blink – this means DTCs are being cleared from all ECUs. Once finished, the light stays solid Green.
4. LED turns Blue – tool is now performing the Derate Disable routine. Leave the tool connected if you need this function.
5. LED turns Red – tool is now performing Soot Level Reset. Leave the tool connected if you need this function.
6. Once all routines are completed, the LED turns Green again.

To Perform Parked DPF Regeneration:

1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Start the engine and allow it to idle. Wait until the coolant temperature reaches at least 180°F (82°C).
3. Plug the tool into the HD OBD connector. Regeneration will start automatically within a few seconds.
4. The process may take 20–60 minutes, depending on the current DPF load.
5. To cancel regeneration, simply unplug the tool.
